Food is pretty good, but that's not what got Outback 4 stars. Our server was amazing. She was insightful and extremely friendly. We don't do "chainy" restaurants, but the place we chose had booked two large private parties and didn't think to call and let us know they couldn't serve us so we ended up at Outback. We had the bloomin onion and some wings as an appetizer and then I had the toowomba pasta as my entree. While it wasn't what I imagined eating for dinner, it was pretty tasty. I can't say, I'll be back, but I wouldn't be opposed to going back.

Yelp is spot on for this Outback. It's tremendously inconsistent. I almost always have good food, but there inevitably is always a problem with the drinks, not getting refills, poor pacing of the meal, or inattentive service. This location also does a horrible job with busing tables, so be prepared to sit with your dirty, finished plates on your table throughout your meal. Management likes to hover in the corner and stare, but never walks around to actually see the many problems firsthand. In short, this place is a mess. Save yourself the headache and just go to Virginia the next time you have a craving for a cheap steak.

Looks like I had a similar experience to many of the other reviewers. Service was slow our server was new which was fine but she seemed new to the restaurant business all together. The biggest issue I had was that it took a long time for them to bring out our food maybe 20-30 minutes and during that time- our drinks were never re-filled and she never came to check on us. When she finally did come over she was surprised that our food wasn't out yet. When she went to check on it- it was brought out and my steak and potato were cold. The other issue I had was that the restaurant as a whole didn't seem to be flowing well- other servers were off to the side having personal conversations and joking around when the empty table next to us had dishes on it almost the entire time we sat there. Customers notice those things and it was clearly affecting the service. I probably wouldn't eat at this location again- the servers need more customer service training and the manger needs to tighten up ship

I love this place. I've lived in the area and have visited Outback many times. I cant recall any bad experiences. Not one horror story. Servicr is good. Happy hour is non existent. However, they have a daily margarita special that is great. $5 for a margarita AND an added shot of tequila. Cant beat that! They have a bunch of signature dishes that are delicious as well. Management is great and very helpful should something be not-so-good with your dish. GO! enjoy a meal here. Its fairly priced and they give good portions. Worth your money.

6/14/15 Went on a day that the restaurant wasn't crowded but we were in the waiting area for ten minutes before anyone even greeted us.Then we were informed that the wait would be over ten minutes or we could sit at the bar. The bar tables were all dirty. Someone came to clean the table, very half a** job someone else had to come complete the difficult task of clearing a table. Food was good, service get zero stars! The bathroom was very pissy, dirty and disgusting. If this is where the workers use the bathroom, I would rethink eating here ever again.

Minus well not order curbside take away for a certain time because they won't have it ready. Slowest outback I've been to... Smh

Ordering curbside take longer than dinning in. I order curbside and as always my order was wrong so I had to wait and extra 20 minutes. The Manger has no customer service skills so u can't expect the staff to have any. I walk in to pay instead of letting the person come to my car and like I said the order was wrong. The young lady did say she didn't take my order but had to get the manger to change it in the system. When he came out he never said anything to me or look my way. And as you know the the curbside room is small so yes he knew I was standing there. He just key in on the computer and walk right back out ,really. No apologize or anything just gave her my new bill. To get home cause I didn't have time to stay any longer and have things still missing from my bag.

We received no service after more than 5 minutes of waiting at our table. No water or rolls. We got up and left. We traveled 25 miles to another Outback where we received exemplary service. Food was excellent and we gave the waiter a $20 dollar tip. Avoid the Oxon Hill establishment at all cost.

My nephew has been crying for his cheese sandwich since 5:45. The manager made her way over to offer us some soup or salad until our food comes. No I don't want to wait another 15 minutes for soup I want the food I ordered an hour ago. Will not be coming back! Food finally came... I hope my sister doesn't choke on the box of dry pasta sitting in front of her. It should be ok since they brought her a bowl of milk (Alfredo sauce) to go on top of it

I will never visit this location again! In a nutshell: Placed my order online (entered make, model and color of car); arrived at Outback for curbside takeout; waited for 15 minutes and no one came out. Another car pulls up and a person comes out to take their order; I get out of my car to inform the runner that I placed my order online almost 40 minutes prior and had been waiting for 15 for someone to help me. The runner told me that he doesn't do online orders. I had to go in and get my food. NEVER AGAIN!

I've been here before, with low expectations due to the location. Honestly, I'm not sure why this time was any different. We arrived around 6:30 on a Monday. The football game was on so it was pretty crowded. We were able to tag a table in the bar area where a party was finishing up. It took 10 minutes for the server to greet us and another 5 for him to get the table bussed. I ordered the Aussie Rum Punch, which was tasty but needed a count more of rum. I asked our server for a kids menu and he handed me a rolled menu. When opened I discovered it had been used, colored on and leftover remnants of food. Nonetheless, I had a Kid's Eat Free coupon, so I got the Grilled Cheese A Roo and fruit for my daughter and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and fries for myself. I don't remember what the orders of the other members of my party were. Now I'm a stickler for writing orders down, especially when it's busy, because anything can throw you off and the orders can be forgotten. He didn't write anything down and guess what? He forgot my daughters order and she was very antsy when it was time to eat. Overall 3 stars.

It bothers me when people come on here and trash a business from one experience. So I decided to update! Outbacks are supposed to blend in with the area that they serve. This is Oxon Hill - I don't expect to see president Obama here. Its a local restaurant that serves the people that live around the area and tourist from National Harbor. I have been here many times and I haven't had a bad experience. The crowd is local and friendly. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Many in the staff talk to the guest like they know them. I heard a few "How have you been?" and "Nice to see you again." Tonight I went in for take away. I sat at the bar and made friends with a local. I can't recall the last time I went to a place and just struck up a conversation. It felt good. We ordered pasta dishes with shrimp and Tilapia. Chicken fingers and chicken wings for the kids. When someone says this is the worst Outback I would like a little proof. I have been to Outbacks all up and down the northeast corridor, (heck I have been to Outbacks in almost every major city in the United States) and this is not the worst. I will continue to patronize this business. The food is always great and its to the standard of most Outbacks I have been to. That is what I love about Outback. Its consistent. And as you can see I love to eat!

Service was ok...the steak I ordered was cooked PERFECT, asparagus (please cut the root end off), mashed potatoes had a very small piece of paper in it. What really got me was the red wine I ordered. When I received my glass, it was a thin white layer of some substance on top. I sent it back and all the bartender did was pour it in another glass. The manager then opened up a brand new bottle and it was fine. The server said the reason for the thin white layer was because that's how wine its when you pour it with bubbles...I told him I've been drinking wine for years and an actual pro at it and never in all of the years of me drinking it have I seem that nor would I ever attempt to drink it looking like that.

Quite frankly, I'm not quite sure why I keep coming here. But Outback kind of reminds me of an abusive boyfriend. When its great, its REALLY great and you're thinking OMG this is why I still come to Outback (and when I say great, I mean as great as an Outback can be. I mean its still Outback). But then you're left even more disheartened and confused when this Outback hits you with one of those poor service, poor food quality days. I think I really expected things to get better when they remodeled the inside. But that just wasn't the case. I've had good drinks, good food, and good service here. But probably never all in one visit. Unfortunately, I just can't shake Outback. Call it a bad habit but I will continue to be a patron for the wings and the broccoli. The broccoli is hands down the best thing on the menu. And good enough for me to suffer through the abuse. One thing that really really really bothers me about this location though is the hours. How do you have a bar and still close at 11? Places with bars should close at 2 am or at least 12! C'mon son.

The servers were friendly but after we got our food they became scarce. No one checked on us and we waited forever for the check. The drinks, bread and bloomin onion were great but my steak was dry. It was a Sunday so the bar was filled with Redskins and Giants fans. I like the atmosphere, it's just that the service was slow and the steak was blah... Maybe I'll get something else the next time.

We were visiting from another state where our Outback would earn 5 stars so we were shocked at how poor the service was. There was hardly anyone there (which should have clued us in to the poor service) and it took forever to get our orders. When we finally did the food wasn't good and one of our orders wasn't even correct! I would drive however long it took to find another Outback with their normally superb food/service!

No stars... this is the worst outback I've ever dined at. Asked if they had medium rare prime rib at 5:00, they said yes, ordered the 16 oz. They brought me a ribeye cooked on the grill... I complained, ate it reluctantly and they still made me pay full price. Ate there 3 times this week, still haven't got a medium rare prime rib...

I enjoy eating at Out back, however, my experience at this location is unacceptable. Not only was my order incorrectly filled but the resolution was to make me wait (for an unusually long period of time) for a new meal to be prepared. No since of urgency. When l received my bill, it contained an item not ordered. Not a good experience!

This review is for this Outback only. The staff was completely non-responsive. Service was the worst I've ever received at an Outback. One person in our party actually got her salad after her entree. The waitress was impossible to find and unconcerned when she did bother to make an appearance. The food in general is not consistent with what we've come to expect as Outback quality. Steaks and potatoes were dry. Sodas tasted strange. Do not waste your time or money on this place. There are too many other choices.

Bad service , terrible food? Of course , this is Oxon Hill. Who in their right mind would expect decent food and service in this area? I learned a long time ago that when you want decent food or service make the drive to Bethesda or VA

It's Outback so you know the deal. I just wanted to mention that they have $3.95 margaritas all day everyday and they do not seem to use a mix to make them. If you have enough of them you might be able to trick yourself into believing that you're at Ruth's Chris. At least the warm bread is still delicious as are the wings and green beans and the service is excellent. Did I mention $3.95 margaritas?

Other than the fact that I'm not thrilled with the time that Outback opens, period, I like this Outback. I do more take-away dining that anything at this location now. For some it's just become their "neighborhood" bar and hang-out. It can get a little loud too. Outside of the patrons, I like the business, the food, etc. There could be a few improvements made, but it's not bad.

It took 7-10 min for 3 people to figure out how to get me a seat. Then 10 minutes to get a beverage. But I will say my steak was delicious.

October 5, 2012; 4:00 pm Me and a friend Arrived right at opening time (4:00 pm). Initially sat in a booth near bar...forgot about happy hour and within 5 minutes we could no longer hear ourselves talk. No biggie, we switched to a booth further from the bar. Each ordered the 4 course for $15 special. (Friend- soup, salad, 6 oz steak, garlic mashed potatoes, carrot cake; me- soup, salad, shrimp entree, ice cream) Tap water in ice promptly brought to us- yuck. At 4:35 the bread/butter, soup and salad finally arrived. Since neither of us had eaten since breakfast, that disappeared within minutes. OK, now we're looking around for our entrees. They don't appear. They just opened, and most of the other customers were at the bar ordering drinks and appetizers, so how backed up can they be? We were about to find out. By 5:20 we were looking for our never-present waiter to tell him to just bring the bill for the soup and salad. Right before we could get his attention from another table, someone from the kitchen staff brought the entrees. It was 5:30...a little less than an hour and a half since we placed our order!! My winter boots are more tender than my friends steak (I presume...I've never actually taken a bite out of my boots). But he could not cut that steak without putting some serious elbow grease into it. And he ordered it medium-well! There was NO juice whatsoever coming from that piece of meat. His potatoes were cold, not lukewarm, COLD. Called the waiter over and complained. He tried to pick the steak up with a fork and it wouldn't even puncture it. Waiter looked genuinely sad and upset and offered to "fix it". We declined. Told him to not even worry about the dessert, but just bring the check. He practically begged us to still take the dessert...even offering it 'to go'. Since ice-cream doesn't travel well, we opted to stay for the dessert. It was the best part of the meal. After we finished dessert, we still had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the check. Actually had to get up and go ask someone else to tell our waiter to bring our check. We were a hot second from testing the theory that if you head for the exit, your check will magically appear when it came. Paid and got out of there. Will not return and don't recommend.

I Thought Curb Side meant I dont have to get out of my car!!! I guess not at this location..... I called about 15 minutes ahead & ordered curbside assistance and gave them the model and color of my color. I pulled up about 10 minutes later and parked in the curbside parking... waited 5 mins NOTHING.... waited 10 minutes NOTHING... Finally I go inside and pay or my order and recieve it. It was sitting on the counter for how long I do not know smh.... I opened my food once in my car to find out I had cold fries, hard bread and 10 small shrimp and unsweeten tea... I was disappointed...

It's Outback so the food is decent. I love the bread, wings and a few pasta dishes. The service is sometime-y. Sometimes good. Sometimes terrible. The bar scene is decent. Oh and the floor is slippery. Ladies watch your heels!

This was horrible idea to come here for dinner. We waited for at least 30 minutes for our waiter to come to our table and then after we ordered that was at least 45 minutes. Everyone at the other tables around us were complaining about their food. Another table requested the manager and it took her at least 15 minutes to show up and she had an attitude. The manager never spoke to any of the waitstaff about the service she went back into her little back room.

I went back to Outback last Monday after not visiting since 2012. It hasn't changed. The service is still below satisfactory and utterly ridiculous. I called my food in at 9:00 p.m., arrived at 9:45 p.m., called to say I was outside at 10:00 p.m., and finally went in at 10:10 p.m. (25 minutes later) after no one came out to acknowledge that I had arrived. Other customers were just as disgusted because no one was working the curbside service. While I was there, several customers came back to return their food because the order was either wrong or had turned cold as a result of their waiting. When I finally got my food home, mine was no different. I resent those opinions that restaurants and their level of service are dictated by the neighborhood in which they serve. That implies that an Oxon Hill customer doesn't deserve the same level of customer service as someone in Montgomery Country or Virginia. My money spends just like everyone else's and I deserve a hot meal and curbside service whether I am in Oxon Hill or Potomac Maryland. I guess it will be another 2 years before I give the Oxon Hill Outback another shot. All thumbs down to this Outback!

First, let me say that this review is only for this location, as I've been to many other Outback's in the area and abroad and have had zero problems. That is not the case when it comes to the Oxon Hill Rd. location. We lived in the Oxon Hill/Fort Washington area for about a year and visited this location 3 times. It was 3 times too many. First, the wait staff is barely able to muster a "Hello" before they roll their eyes and seat you at a table in their almost never busy dining room. You will wait at that table for an average of 15 minutes before you will have to ask someone where your waiter/waitress is and they will respond with either looking at you blankly or rolling their eyes. Once your waiter/waitress breezes by, they will ply you with stories of their personal hardships, problems with the kitchen, or they simply just won't give a blank about how long you've been sitting there. You order your drinks and your food in a rush because you've already waited so long you're thirsty, hungry and annoyed and know that if you don't order now, you'll never eat before they close the doors for the night. Wait 10 minutes. Your drinks will come and then, after another 20 minute wait, you will be served your soggy 'insert appetizer here' and your salad. You wonder why it took so long for a pre-made salad to arrive, but no matter, because in 2 minutes you will be served your entree - which inevitably will be still mooing or so well done it resembles the cliche shoe leather you've seen in Charlie Chaplin films of old. Wait 10 minutes. When you FINALLY see your waiter/waitress, you inform them of the issue and they will roll their eyes again, take your plate with your pitiful steak and disappear. AGAIN. And you wait. AND wait. AND WAIT. When you finally can't take it anymore, you will ask for a manager and be given sass like no other, "Why do you need to talk to him?" Eye roll. You begin to think that an expert eye roll is a prerequisite for a job here. When the manager comes over he is clueless as to what's going on or even who your waiter/waitress is - when you point them out, the manager nods like, "Oh, yeah. That guy/gal." Of course, he offers to bring you out another steak, but it's been 25 minutes and your companion has finished their meal 15 minutes ago and this is too much math and time for what was supposed to be an easy night out to dinner. Fed up, you ask for the check. The check arrives and it STILL charges you for a steak you never ate and an alcoholic beverage that you never drank, nor asked for/ordered. After this almost hour and a half ordeal, you are enraged. When you ask for the manager again, he comes right away, but looks annoyed and less than happy to have to actually amend your check. FINALLY, he brings back a corrected check and a flimsy apology for your troubles. You leave disgusted. This is only 1 of the 3 incidents that occurred at this location. BE SMART. Get on 495S, hop off at the Ft. Belvoir exit and get yourself to another Outback. Don't waste your time, money or effort here. Sub-par food standards and basement floor attitudes.

Great food! The steak was delicious, and the staff was very professional and friendly! The steak was great, the sides tasted as if they were freshly made, and the drinks were made with care. It was my friend's birthday, so the staff was kind enough to provide my friend with a delicious free cake! Everyone at our table was satisfied with their food.

My family and I were visiting D.C. and stayed in Clinton. Not really knowing the area we were happy to see something familiar. I usually love the Outback but this is one that I would not visit again and wouldn't recommend. The hosts were very friendly and the manager was very attentive and helped a lot when my prime rib was very overcooked. Our server was very inexperienced and rather slow. And oddly he kept handing me items instead of just putting them on the table... I thought that was extremely weird... PUT THE HOT PLATE ON THE TABLE DON'T STAND THERE WAITING FOR ME TO TAKE IT??? He gave our 3 year old a HUGE glass to drink out of instead of a kiddie cup and after my prime rib was very over cooked and was fixed he tried to have me pay for 2 of them? The manager fixed the bill and they did give us our desserts for free. It was my birthday as well... so this won't be one to forget...I'll try, though.

This Outback location is very inconsistent. Sometimes I get four star service, and other times I get one star service. The last visit the service was good, the food was average, but they had a couple of cheap drink specials. If you dint have time to go anywhere else then this place will do, but don't expect fireworks.

This was the absolute worst dinning experience I've had in a long time. My daughters fries were like 2 day old an dried up. My order was wrong. I sat for 20 mins before being asked for drink orders. The bill was wrong and the managers were clueless in terms of managing restaurant flow. I'd rather eat something I hate than come here for dinner.

Service is slow.... On a Friday during lunch and the place is empty, this is unacceptable. Food was mediocre, nothing to rave about. The only highlight was my drink was strong. I've never really been a fan of Outback, and this experience didn't sway me at all. I'll pick someplace else next time.

I love Outback but this location is TRIFLIN'!!! This is what I sent on outback.com - limited characters... Visted on 6/14/14. First was told by hostess we couldn't sit where we wanted. "Ain't got no servers over there", after we disturbed her lounging in a booth by the bar. She seated us where we asked. It started out fine and got soooo much worse. The appetizer took awhile to receive. We ordered 2 large beers. After our app, we didn't see the server till I went to the ladies room by the kitchen. He was coming out and I was going to ask him for 2 more beers. He saw me, turned around and went back in the kitchen. There is a corner mirror for the servers coming & going so I looked up at it on my way to the ladies room. I saw our server rubbing the shoulders of a female server. Inappropriate. Especially when we need something. The restroom was appallingly dirty and run-down. The paper towel dispenser didn't work, meaning there was a roll sitting on the counter. How hygienic. I leave and go by the kitchen again. Santiago is still rubbing whomever's shoulders. I go by the table and my lunch mate and I still do not have a beer. I go the service bar and the bartender asks me how I'm doing. I tell her I'm not happy and that our server has left us sitting for more than 15 minutes and I would like 2 beers. She says nothing but gets the beers. The server whose shoulders were getting relieved in the kitchen approaches and makes sure the beers are added to my check. Who is she again? The bartender offers no apology and makes no move to get my server. I take the beers back to the table, where our dirty app dishes now have residence. Our food arrives. Still no server. We start to eat and Santiago shows up to ask how we are. I tell him "I'm not happy. I had to get my own beers, thank you very much." To this he said, "You're welcome" and walked away. We did not see him again until we finished eating, at which point he cleared them. Mind you, the dirty app dishes are still sitting there. He offered no apology. He offered nothing but a smart ass comment. I will be posting this to yelp.com . This location obviously has a serious management problem if this is acceptable behavior by the staff.

My honey and I stopped into this place for something late night to eat on a Friday night. We went into about 3 different cutbacks and the wait times were CRAZY. But decided to come to this one because it was close to home. The first time we went here around Valentine's Day, the wait was 1 hour 45 min.......lets just say, I had a great steak....AT HOME! But decided to give it a try since we were out again. Pulled up at around 920pm...and no wait, got seated right away. In our area it was a lol dirty but only because it was a lol group if small children around so things were everywhere on the floor. But I have kids, so I know how it is. Server came right away and delivered our drinks and bread quickly. She was very friendly, but seemed a little overwhemled, only bad thing I can say about our server is that she didn't take notice to the fact I had an empty glass on the end of the table for a long time and didn't stop by to see how we were doing or if we needed anything else. We both really enjoyed our food, bread was hot, grilled shrimp was BOMB! And steaks were juicy. So food was good for us. Overall server could be a tad better but we enjoyed ourselves.

I've been to this Outback probably twice, then started heading to Waldorf instead (due to the svc).. I called my order in for curb side and since the order was over $40, I had to give my cc over the phone (never heard of that).. Anyhoo, I get to curbside, waited and waited and waited.. After about 20min, I flag a server down and let them know I ordered a while ago (drove from Clinton).. He went to check on my order (prime rib dinner, blooming onion, & shrimp), comes back and says, "I'm sorry, since your order was sitting for so long, one of the servers took it home".. WHAAAT??? So he offers me some wings becz they're out of prime rib and now about to close.. I was SOOOO furious!! I took the wings and never went back.

Husband went to pick up takeaway order. Says order was given to him TWICE incorrect/missing items. He was also given the wrong check to pay. Salad has the wrong dressing. Fries are ice cold AND missing the bacon, cheese and sour cream that I requested! Worse service ever. I should have gone with my first instinct and head across the bridge to the rt1 location in Alexandria, VA. --------- Updated 7/19 Took all of my food back today. Spoke to manager (Michelle) and she made everything right. She apologized and hoped that it wouldn't happen again. Changed from 1 star to 3

This used to be one of the best Outback Steakhouses out there. Within the last 7 years, it has really gone downhill. The last time we went, the Maitre'd was a slob who looked like he hated his job. Pants sagging and never smiled or was nice to anyone. The service is average at best. The servers are mostly friendly but do not go out of their way to fix mistakes or refill your glass. The food is okay and the place is relatively clean. This joint needs to be totally overhauled or shut down. It's really sad knowing how great this place was, especially for a chain restaurant. Not recommended.

We used to enjoy this restaurant. Aye-yay-yay! Not worth coming back anymore! Had the blooming onion, which I would say had pretty good rating, french onion soup was ok, did need more cheese to cover the top. Also ordered the sesame salad, the veggies were swimming in vinegar dressing! (Was not at all happy with it, mentioned to the server and all she said was is there anything else you want to order?) Also had wings, which was also so-so! As i was finishing my last bite of my salad, the server comes and lifts my plate off the table to be taken away, i had to tell her not yet because i was not done. Now isn't that speedy and rude service? Looking back at the other times i had enjoyed Outback, I can't believe that my experience today does not make me want to come back!

Let's be clear. I fully believe in supporting neighborhood businesses. Outback is a favorite. Good food, reasonably priced and just a short drive from home. BUT, my experience a couple of days ago takes the cake and I've decided to not patronize this location again. Here's my story: I ordered online around 10:45pm. The location closed at 11:30pm. I received a call from the restaurant about 10 minutes after ordering, asking me to be at the restaurant by 11:30pm (although the ETA of my food being done was 11:43pm) because they closed at 11:30pm. Okay, fine. No big deal. Well, short and sweet, my order didn't come out until 11:45pm and when I got home, it was incorrect. I ordered the steak and lobster special, medium well, with a dressed baked potato. I received a well done steak, NO LOBSTER, and absolutely no toppings for my baked potato. I tried to allow the restaurant to make it right by calling them to inform them of the issue. I was told I would receive a call from the owner the next day. Good thing I didn't hold my breath! It's really sad but I hope the restaurant order reads these reviews. So, I was asked to get there early, my order was late, and to top it off - WRONG.

Service was slow. Our waiter Demetries was not attentive at all. We had to ask for refills several times before he got it to us. And he didn't get our bread to us until our entree was at our table. Then we waited good amount for our fries; and it was already cold when it got to our table. He didn't even say thank you when he dropped off the check!!

This is the first time I have ever had Outback and let me tell you...its definitely my last time. I work at a restaurant and believe me I would've been out of a job if this was the service I provided. My mimosa was orange juice that tasted spoiled. My food was not hot and very dry, took one bite and that's it. And then on top of that everyone who works there acts like they're miserable. Like I'm sorry that you hate your job but don't take it out on the guest. Terrible place!!!!!

Came in for lunch, was kinda empty but it filled up quick. Service was good! Very polite and friendly. The manager walked around to ensure my steak was cooked alright. Took a little longer than I'd like for my food to come out, otherwise I'd give for stars.

I was there on Sep 6th. Service, food and atmosphere was outstanding! I had a nice, quiet time there after a long absence. The place is finally well lit - I didn't have to sit in the dark to eat. Whoever made changes to this particular restaurant needs to be applauded! Also, if you're looking for hip-hop music to be played through the speakers, go elsewhere. :)

This used to be a nice place to relax and have some good food. Something happened and everything just spun out of control. The curbside service is not really curbside considering you have to go in and pay and wait for your order if you ever want your food! The staff is unfriendly except for one hispanic bartender with dark hair and a ponytail, I can't remeber her name, but she is awesome. I'm only giving it one star because of her professionalism & the Prime Rib. It's been excellent each time I've ordered at the bar. I would suggest you sit at the bar, order a drink & your food, check out the quality and content, take a few bites then ask for a to-go container and be on your way.

At 1PM on a Friday they did not have enough servers for the crowd. Plenty of tables were open but you could not sit to the lack of servers. After waiting for 30 minutes to sit a table of 5+1 infant(also we decided to seat ourselves in a table that fit four so we would not have to wait any longer). We ordered as soon as we sat down and after a 1.5 of waiting for a two salads and two chicken tenders we decided to leave because the food still didn't cove out. We did hey two loafs of bread 10 minutes before we left(1 hour 20 minutes for bread). I will never visit this location or maybe franchise again.

Went to grab lunch today and should've just went somewhere else. First, I get there and my order is wrong so now I have to wait an extra 30 minutes. I ask for twenty hot wings extra crispy and now I'm stuck with twenty mild wings extra soggy. So now I'm at home cooking my wings. Then my bread is extra cold like its from yesterday. My soup is watery and they didn't even give me any crackers nor spoons. This outback needs new management because, this is not the first time something like this has happen.

I waited 30 minutes for a grilled chicken Caesar salad. When I went to complain but they had it all along. This was takeout by the way.

My husband had originally went here with his friend, I asked him to bring me back a medium rare steak, and some bread and butter. When I got my bag my steak was well past well done, and there was no bread or butter included. I called and the manager was very sweet and told me to come in with my receipt and she would take care of me. Well when It came down to coming back, I couldn't find my receipt. I called and spoke to the manager, she took good care of us! I was very pleased with how hey handled everything. Definitely redeemed themselves. We will be back!

I live in the area and I've been visiting this Outback for about a year now at least once or twice a month. I usually stop by when I want something quick and inexpensive. I usually always sit at the bar. The service at the bar is usually pretty decent. The bartenders are friendly enough, sometimes they get a little "weeded" when it's busy. I can only remember one time when I had to send my steak back because it came out well done instead of medium. The few times that I have sat at a table I the service did seem a little slower, I get the impression that sometimes they are understaffed but I could tell that the server was working hard to try to keep up. Overall, the service has never been so slow to the point that I was frustrated. The food is always satisfying to me. I really like that they have all day happy hour specials including drinks and food, this is one of the main reasons why I keep coming back. I usually end up sending about $25-$30 (including tip) for a full meal, an appetizer and a at least two-three drinks, you can't beat that! I always leave full and nicely "buzzed". There aren't many sit down restaurants in the area besides the places at the National Harbor (most of those places are overpriced, not to mention that there is a fee for parking 24 hrs.) so I will continue to come here when I something local and inexpensive.

Smh
(2)Will F.
Tardy as hell with my food..came into the place empty, ordered carryout and a beer...40 min later. .empty glass...no food! Have not tasted the food yet..could get no stars. Gave it one star because the libation was cold and refreshing! Down Right Horrible!

This place is absolutely the worst... If u want the local hood booger service than this is your place...

C'mon son.
(2)Lisa M.
(3)Bernard R.
Been here for a half hour still nothing to drink on the table. Run for the hills most of the staff are only here, not hear to wait on you I guess we should leave and head to the national harbor
(1)Holly L.
(1)Michael C.
No stars... this is the worst outback I've ever dined at.
(1)Frank W.
(1)Debra L.
(1)Ingrid W.
Bad service , terrible food? Of course , this is Oxon Hill. Who in their right mind would expect decent food and service in this area? I learned a long time ago that when you want decent food or service make the drive to Bethesda or VA
(1)Tracey C.
(3)Michelle S.
(3)Jordan D.

Love the franchise. This one clearly lacks proper supervision. Slow and poor service. Poor food quality.
(1)Samnang S.
Ordered our meal the same time we ordered our drinks. 30 minutes later, food still hasn't come out. Really slow service, but food was great!
(3)Janey B.
It's Outback so the food is decent. I love the bread, wings and a few pasta dishes. The service is sometime-y. Sometimes good. Sometimes terrible. The bar scene is decent. Oh and the floor is slippery. Ladies watch your heels!
(3)MJ B.
It's not bad for a quick steak crave & the convenience of the restaurant being right next door to us! Good steak, needs improvement with service though.
(3)Dale J.
(1)Michelle H.
(1)Beth A.
(1)Shanny J.

(2)Marcus M.
This Outback location is very inconsistent. Sometimes I get four star service, and other times I get one star service. The last visit the service was good, the food was average, but they had a couple of cheap drink specials. If you dint have time to go anywhere else then this place will do, but don't expect fireworks.
(2)Anthony Y.
(1)S Christine S.
Service is slow.... On a Friday during lunch and the place is empty, this is unacceptable. Food was mediocre, nothing to rave about. The only highlight was my drink was strong. I've never really been a fan of Outback, and this experience didn't sway me at all. I'll pick someplace else next time.
(2)Mimi W.
Went for a quick lunch during training. Had less than an hour and was in and out in 40 min. Service and food were good.
(3)Anthea Y.
